Welcome to The Creative Studio!
​The Creative Studio is an independent ceramics studio on the outskirts of York.
We offer a range of services for complete beginners and seasoned ceramics veterans, so you're sure to find something for you! The studio facilities include 5 potters wheels and 2 large kilns. Have a look at what's on offer.

These are pre-booked through this website and great for anyone wanting to get creative with clay no matter the skill level. The sessions are 10-12.30 Tuesdays and Fridays, and must be booked online. You can choose hand-building or a wheel throwing session. Its up to you.

We have a range of sculpture workshops available to book online. From foxes and hares, to whales and pumpkins! New workshops are added regularly so sign up to our emails to keep up-to-date.

Firing
Firing is available for work brought into the studio. This can be done by the kiln load (£100) or by the shelf (£25). We fire a range of clay bodies, so please email us with your requirements and we will be happy to help. (see link below)

Membership
The studio offers membership for those looking for space to work, this is available to anyone who is confident in working with clay. Membership numbers are limited so contact us to see our availability. The membership includes use of the wheels, personal storage space and community firing. ​
